The Los Angeles Avengers were started in 2000 when they began to compete in the Western Division of the American Conference. They have been in the postseason competition four times and are looking to increase that. Casey Wasserman, grandson of Lew Wasserman owns the team. There has been one fatality in the history of the league that occurred on Apr. 10, 2005. Al Lucas, the defensive lineman for the Avengers was trying to make a tackle against the other team.
